Sometimes I swear my living room may just become one huge pillow. These new additions would make at least 10 that we have in there. Maybe we should skip furniture and make an entire room of pillows. Hmmm, although I think my kids would be in love with this idea...the older guests we often have would likely not share the same love for it....just guessing there....
Still, my guys love pillows, they make forts with them, lie around on them, whack each other with them (ahem, did I say that out loud?) and generally love 'em up. I decided to make varying sizes to go along with the spectrum of kiddo sizes we have going on here.
Now, I am cheating a bit here - I can't take credit for these pillow tops - these are another mama's wonderful design. The fabric choices were so lovely that I didn't want them to get lost in a larger quilt, not to mention that I had exactly 2, so I decided to make 12 by 12 (roughly) pillows with them; comfying up that chair where a whole lot of nursing and reading goes on...although I fully expect these pillows to be elsewhere in the room when I next sit there...;)
Note:: I think these may have given me a little kick yesterday when I needed a boost ;) I substituted the Crisco for Spectrum shortening and it was all good. Maybe a little too good....
Now, I don't normally have plates of whoopie pies lying around for snacking...but, it is birthday season after all in these parts and the celebrating just goes on....and on...and on.....
Speaking of! A winner!
Message me your address and I will send these along! Such fun :)

you could totally do those heather! easy peasy! too bad you aren't around these parts anymore...maybe you could take a class in AZ? also, thrift stores almost always have old machines - and most are made better than the ones made today ~ go for it! :)
I love the fabric of the trees birds in the middle. Who/where can I get some?!?!

Hi Honey! I think they are handprinted actually - from the very first Bits of Goodness swap (wish I could remember who made them!)
